Troy Brooks has more than twenty five (25) years of experience as an environmental and roofing consultant. During that period, there has been considerable evolution in the fields of environmental and roof consulting. As a result, Troy attended additional training, education and attained additional certifications in various disciplines within the industry in order to meet the growing needs of our clients.

Troy is a State of California, Certified Asbestos Consultant (C.A.C. #92‑0186) and has extensive experience in surveying, designing, and overseeing large and small projects involving abatement and management of asbestos‑containing materials. Prior to forming Brooks & Associates, Troy’s experience included two (2) years as President and day to day manager of a contracting firm engaged in the removal of asbestos-containing materials. Troy’s background also includes extensive experience as an inspector in the construction industry.

Troy holds the following certifications with the State of California, Department of Health Services related to lead: DHS Certified Inspector/Assessor for Lead, and DHS Certified Project Monitor for Lead. His combination of technical training and practical experience brings a unique perspective to the services provided by T. Brooks & Associates, Inc. Troy has conducted numerous lead surveys, risk assessments, and designed projects involving removal and management of lead-based paint on all types of structures.

Troy has met the training and experience requirements, and passed a closed book examination and has been designated as a Certified Indoor Air Quality Consultant by the ACAC (formerly the American Indoor Air Quality Council). Troy is a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association, an international organization which promotes training, education, and professionalism related to the expanding field of indoor air quality. Mr. Brooks has conducted numerous investigations involving a range of microbial issues, including fungal spores, bacteria, and sewage investigations, as well as evaluations of airborne chemical hazards. Troy regularly provides training to clients, attorneys, property managers, and various organizations related to this constantly evolving field.

Troy F. Brooks has been practicing as a professional Roof Consultant since 1985. His experience includes numerous roof failure investigations and development of plans and specifications for reroof projects on buildings of all types including: schools, historic buildings, apartment and condominium complexes, cold storage buildings, restaurants, convalescent facilities and many others. He is knowledgeable in commercial and residential roof systems on the market today.

Based on evidence of his knowledge, education, experience, qualifications, character, and passage of a rigorous testing procedure, Troy was recognized as a Registered Roof Consultant by the credentials committee of the Roof Consultants Institute, Raleigh, N.C. in 1991. He is one of approximately 275 individuals, world‑wide to have achieved this designation.

Troy’s education, training and extensive experience in these highly specialized areas allows Brooks & Associates to provide a wide array of outstanding professional consulting services to assist our clients with their needs. Troy also provides litigation support on behalf of our Clients.
